Fee: £3,500 (inclusive of all rehearsals, performances, and reflection session)

Dates: Available for 15 rehearsal days (8 hours/day), 2 days of trail performances in schools (8 hours/day), plus day reflection session in London

Project Overview: John Mowat (director) and Helen Ainsworth (performer) are seeking a native British Sign Language (BSL) performer to join our creative team to rework an existing solo piece of physical theatre and object manipulation into a duet. The performer will play an integral role in ensuring the work is accessible and engaging for D/deaf audiences while being part of the artistic team in growing the production.

Collaborate, play with character and movement and invent as a co-performer, re-developing the work from a solo to a duet.

Ideally has significant experience in live physical theatre and interdisciplinary performance.

Strong collaborative skills in the devising process.

Interest in integrating BSL with visual vernacular and physical storytelling.

Self-Employed and responsible for own payment of tax.

Audition Date: 24th October 2025 in London.

Perform show multiple times during 2 performance days in schools in London in Nov/Dec 2025.
