The Head of Wardrobe is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of all costuming and the smooth running of the wardrobe department, including supervision of all Wardrobe staff. Job Requirements
To prepare and update a costume bible.
To supervise the touring wardrobe staff and local venue casual staff.
To liaise with the venues re local casual staff/dresser calls and to monitor the standard of the casual staff/dressers.
To ensure all costumes are cleaned daily and in working order for each performance.
To liaise with artistic management regarding daily cast changes and prepare costumes changes accordingly.
To ensure all wardrobe equipment is unpacked and prepared at each venue of the tour.
To co-ordinate and supervise the get-in and get-out of wardrobe equipment at each venue, and to prepare equipment ready for loading at the end of the run.
To ensure that any orders for goods or equipment are made on an appropriate purchase order form and approved by the Producer.
To provide a carnet for the wardrobe department for any overseas engagements if required.Job Responsibilities
Adhere to the Health and Safety guidelines of the Company.
