Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Marketing based student to support our Artistic Director with an ambitious new Marketing Strategy. This role will involve 1 day per week for an initial period of 6 months, and is paid at London Living Wage of £13.85/hour.

Every week, people of all ages engage with us. Some struggle with their mental health. Some feel isolated. Others have never had a chance to express themselves. Here at Green Shoes Arts, they find connection, confidence, and community. We never charge for our sessions, and everyone is welcome.

Until now, we've been able to keep going thanks to public funding - but things have changed very quickly. Finances are tighter, demand is higher, and the future is uncertain. Many charities have fallen, but we are adapting to survive - implementing new strategy and new models of funding.

This is where you come in. We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Marketing based student to support our Artistic Director with an ambitious new Marketing Strategy, which is being produced with the support of consultancy and our board of trustees.

You will be guided by our Artistic Director, but given autonomy to make decisions that will directly impact strategy. Job Requirements

Required skills

  • Communication - Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for interacting with team members and stakeholders.
  • Organisational Skills - Strong organisational and time management skills are essential for handling multiple tasks and projects.
  • Analytical Skills - Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and draw conclusions.
  • Technical Skills - Proficiency in relevant software, such as Microsoft Office and content management systems.
  • Creativity and Innovation - The ability to generate new ideas and contribute to the development of marketing strategies.

Qualifications and education requirements

The preferred applicant would currently be studying one of the following degrees:

Marketing BA

Media and Marketing BA

Business Management and Marketing BA

Communications and Marketing BA

Advertising, Marketing Communications and Public Relations BA.

Job Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Content creation - Assisting with the creation of marketing materials like blog posts, e-mail campaigns, social media content, and promotional materials.
  • Campaign support - Implementing marketing campaigns, monitoring their performance, and making adjustments as needed.
  • Data Analysis - Collecting, analysing, and reporting on marketing data to measure campaign effectiveness.

Administrative Tasks - Handling administrative tasks such as compiling reports, managing social media accounts, and supporting with events.

Any experience in similar roles, whether paid or voluntary, would be preferred but not essential.

Experience using CRM & e-mail content systems, such as Mailchimp and Salesforce would be an added bonus but not essential.
