Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our Arts Council Collection team on a 24 hours/3 days per week part time fixed term contract until December 2026. Salary: £31,000 per annum (£18,600 pro rata)

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join the Arts Council Collection at a pivotal moment in its history. As we prepare to relocate the Collection to a new storage facility in Coventry in 2026/27, we are also embarking on a transformative journey to become an independent organisation, transitioning away from the Southbank Centre. We are looking for a creative and organised professional to join us on a part-time basis to document this transition and ensure our audiences remain deeply connected to this nationally significant collection.

Job Requirements

Key skills that will help you in this role include: Proven experience in managing and maintaining a Content Management System (CMS), with the ability to edit, update, and develop web content to ensure a high-quality, accessible user experience. Experience in developing and delivering social media content and maintaining social media planning calendars. Has experience working with social media analytics and other data analysis tools. Is able to communicate ideas and information clearly in writing and verbally to a range of stakeholders and people on all levels. Is able to write, edit, proof-read and prepare copy.

Job Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include: Develop and deliver a social media content calendar designed to grow followers and maintain active engagement with the collection. Provide regular reports on social media activity and evaluate the data to inform future activity. Act as the primary editor for the website, ensuring all content is accessible, SEO-optimised, and aligns with brand guidelines. Act as the primary point of contact for external web developers and hosting partners; overseeing the maintenance and security of the site, ensuring any issues are resolved swiftly. To develop occasional video and photographic content to document the Collection's transition, focusing on cost-effective, in-house production for social media and archival use.
