Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level 2)

Degree/relevant qualification in the subject area

Job Requirements

Essential Qualities

Ability to empathise with and understand the many challenges faced by young adults in a demographic with high free school meals rate and poverty levels, many of whom struggled to succeed at school

Ability to develop innovative ways of collaborating on projects both within the music department and with other courses in the college

Have professional experience of organising, promoting, marketing and co-ordinating successful live events.

Experience of working professionally in the music and entertainment industry

Extremely organised and able to manage own workload effectively and flexibly

Highly motivated and driven to succeed in a competitive and rewarding environment Committed and willing to "go the extra mile" to meet targets

Ambitious - will not settle for less than outstanding standards of work and behaviour

Job Responsibilities

Desirable Skills

Qualified to teach in the post 16 sector or willing to work towards this within the L5 teaching apprenticeship programme which we can provide

Outstanding teaching and communication skills and experience of good / outstanding delivery within Ofsted inspections

Positive, solution focused and proactive when managing and responding to data

Assertive and self-confident in management of the learning environment

Salary and Days of Work

19 hours across 3.5 days a week for 52 weeks per year

Pro rata of 35 days of annual leave plus UK bank holidays

This is a permanent part-time position

Start Date ASAP

Pro rata of annual salary FTE £28,000-£42,000 (actual salary £15,232-£22,848)
