Job Description

Reece Sibbald Productions is seeking a skilled and dependable Lighting Operator for our 2025 Christmas pantomime, Snow White, at the newly refurbished Roxy Theatre, Leadgate. This production is a major milestone, marking the grand reopening of this historic venue following its Art Deco restoration - the first pantomime performed there in over 90 years.

The Lighting Operator will work closely with the Director and technical team to execute a vibrant and polished lighting design across all rehearsals and performances.

You'll be responsible for programming and operating the lighting desk during technical rehearsals and live shows. The ideal candidate will have experience with theatre lighting systems and a good understanding of cue timing and theatrical storytelling.

You must be available for:

Technical and dress rehearsals from 4th December 2025
All performances from 16th - 28th December 2025

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Availability from 4th December to 28th December 2025, including evenings and weekends.
  • Awareness of relevant health and safety protocols when working at height or with rigging.

Rehearsals and tech from 4th December 2025 (9-12 hours per day)

All performances from 16th - 28th December 2025 (3.5 hours per show, 22 performances)

Fee starting from £1,500, varying upon experience of the applicant.
