Salary range: £23,842.30 - £30,110.77

FTE salary range: £29,215.21 - £36,896.29)

(subject to teaching qualifications and relevant experience)

40 Hours per week, 37 weeks per year

We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic, professional to teach the craft of Leatherwork to groups of students of mixed abilities.

Job Requirements

Applicants for this post should have experience of working with young people and vulnerable adults with special needs, challenging behaviours and mental health difficulties and have a teaching qualification or a willingness to work towards this.

Job Responsibilities

Main Duties:

  • Delivering teaching and training with a therapeutic and supportive approach, wherever possible linking students learning activities through a methodology of the Trust, Practical Skills Therapeutic Education.
  • To be a part of ongoing assessment of students learning needs and to make reasonable adjustments as required minimising barriers to learning and achievement.
  • To familiarise with student background information, profile and risk assessment wherever reasonably possible.
  • You will be expected to attend training sessions as required by the Trust, which may be outside of your usual working hours.
