Job Summary

Louder Drama are seeking to increase their pool of LAMDA tutors for freelance positions in schools and remote tuition via Zoom from your own home

Job Description

Louder Drama is expanding our pool of talented LAMDA tutors to deliver extracurricular speech and drama classes in schools across London and Surrey.

Private Classes - 1-3 students per half-period session during the school day. Tutors are typically in school for the full day, working across year groups to prepare students for LAMDA exams.


Group Classes - 1-hour sessions for 10-14 students at lunch or after school (sometimes 2 back-to-back).


We also run Private Classes via Zoom.

We work in both primary and secondary schools, supporting students through the LAMDA syllabus.

Pay: £25ph (Private) / £50ph (Group)

Requirements (NSPCC Safer Recruitment):

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

  • Public Liability Insurance (Equity includes this)

  • Safeguarding Training
    (Support available if you don't yet hold these)

About You:

  • Freelance actor/director with LAMDA teaching experience

  • Professional and positive with young people

  • Flexible and reliable

  • Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)

  • Public Liability Insurance (Equity membership includes this)

  • Safeguarding Training (can be arranged if not already held)

  • Proven experience teaching the LAMDA syllabus (any discipline) in a school or private setting

  • Excellent communication skills and a professional manner with young people

  • Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to different school environments

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, syllabus-based LAMDA tuition to individuals and small groups in schools across London and Surrey

  • Prepare students for LAMDA exams in Acting, Speaking in Public, and other disciplines as required

  • Manage lesson time effectively to meet learning goals within short session slots

  • Provide constructive feedback and track student progress

  • Maintain clear communication with Louder Drama and school staff regarding schedules and student needs

  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

  • Represent Louder Drama professionally at all times
