The Engagement Producer will support the development and delivery of heritage-focused community engagement activity in the lead-up, production and evaluation of Middle Child's flagship production, Let It Burn, which will be performed at their new venue on Humber Street in May 2027. The role will include working closely with the senior producer to devise and deliver an impactful outreach programme, while building and maintaining relationships with local residents, community groups, artists, volunteers and partner organisations. This role focuses on: Planning and facilitating community workshops and conversations that foster meaningful connections Supporting the planning and delivery of engagement activity Helping to increase local involvement and participation in our work Uncovering and preserving the theatrical heritage of Hull, with the long-term aim of ensuring heritage assets are protected, easily accessible and logged for public use. Logging community insights and research to inform future activity Assisting with scheduling and coordinating logistics to support smooth delivery Audience development and participation Supporting fundraising applications and contributing to funder reporting Championing environmentally conscious and inclusive working practices Adhering to the requirements of the National Lottery Heritage Fund A detailed outline of the tasks and responsibilities for this role, contractual terms and conditions and a person specification is outlined below. Salary: £28,000 per annum Contract: Full-time, 35 hours (flexible to the demands of the project), four-day working, will include evening and weekend work. 18-months fixed term until June 2027. Middle Child does not pay overtime but has a clear time-off-in-lieu policy.
