Job Description

As General Manager, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth delivery of productions and development projects, working closely with Founder Thomas Hopkins and co-leading the Producing team. With THP's ever-expanding slate of work, this position offers the chance to co-produce new titles, lead on in-house productions, and oversee landmark General Management projects.

Leadership & Management

Co-lead the Producing team in partnership with another General Manager, supporting clear workflows and a positive team culture.
Line-manage the Production Assistant and oversee day-to-day activity of the Production Assistants.
Act as a key liaison across creative teams, venues, production partners, and stakeholders.
Work closely with the THP leadership team to ensure the smooth running of the organisation.


Production Oversight

Oversee production planning, schedules, and delivery for all projects.
Coordinate rehearsals, previews, performances, workshops, and artist care.
Lead on company responsibilities including meet & greets, press nights, and special events.
Maintain and update the Production Information Chart to support team-wide visibility.

Contracting & Administration

Draft, issue, and track contracts for cast, creatives, and collaborators.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date contracts log; scan and file all signed documentation.
Liaise with casting directors, book audition spaces, and manage script distribution.
Track creative team availability and manage scheduling logistics.
Assist with hire agreements and workshop planning as needed.


Finance & Budgeting

Monitor production and departmental budgets; track expenses

Job Requirements

Essential
Significant experience in general management, company management, or senior producing within the theatre or live events sector.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage small teams and freelance staff.
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and administrative skills.
Experience managing budgets, contracts, schedules, and production logistics.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities with a proactive and flexible approach.
Skilled in liaising with a wide range of partners, artists, and venues.
Confident with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic project management tools.
A passion for theatre and a commitment to high-quality, inclusive work.
Professionalism, discretion, and a calm approach under pressure.
Proven ability to deliver productions at scale and to tight deadlines.
Experience with Broadway, West End, or international touring productions.
