The invigilators will play a key part in the day-to-day care of the exhibition, supporting the gallery team in safeguarding the artworks to the standards expected of a museum-level presentation. Alongside this, they will provide a professional and welcoming presence for visitors. Previous experience in invigilation, front-of-house or a gallery or museum setting is desirable but not essential.Job Responsibilities
- Ensure visitors keep a safe distance from works and observe gallery rules, intervening politely but firmly where needed.
- Monitor visitor flow and capacity, particularly during busy periods.
- Carry out checks of the exhibition spaces, including condition checks, lighting and humidity.
- Report any incidents, damage, suspicious behaviour or security concerns to the gallery team immediately.
- Follow security, health and safety and emergency procedures at all times.
Support events and private views as required.
Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm daily.
Service period from Friday 9 October to Friday 18 December 2026 (negotiable).
Based at Thaddaeus Ropac, London.
