Description

Job Summary

NYJO (National Youth Jazz Orchestra) is seeking a skilled freelance videographer/editor to produce a dynamic Instagram reel capturing our Holiday Project in collaboration with She’s Got Brass. The project involves young musicians (ages 13–18) learning and performing original arrangements.

Job Description

We are currently looking for a videographer (who is also able to edit) to create an engaging, informative, and visually appealing Instagram reel of our Holiday Project.

The video is to capture our project with She's Got Brass; across two days the young people (aged 13-18) will be learning some of She's Got Brass' own arrangements together as a brand-new ensemble, as well as writing their own original tunes.

We would need you to come on the last day (28th October) and capture general footage and feedback footage of both the members of She's Got Brass and some of the young people about the project, what they've learnt etc.

The reel should be easy to follow and engaging.

Job Requirements

Filming:

  • Set up and manage all equipment for filming, ensuring high-quality visuals and sound.
  • Use appropriate lighting and camera techniques to ensure clarity.

Editing:

  • Edit footage to produce a cohesive reel that aligns with our content goals.
  • Sync audio and video properly, removing any unnecessary pauses, mistakes, or background noise.
  • Provide subtitles or captions for accessibility.

Post-production:

  • Ensure video content aligns with the intended tone-clear and approachable.
  • Manage the archiving and organisation of footage and project files.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in videography, camera work, and audio recording.
  • Able to use editing software to a high standard (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Ability to create visually compelling, easy-to-understand material.
  • Experience with lighting setups and sound optimization for video recordings.
  • Able to collaborate with musicians and understand content needs.

Timeline:

  • Filming is scheduled for 28th October 11:00AM- 2:00PM, Woolwich Works, Greenwich, SE18 6HD.
  • Final video should be sent in by 5th November.
  • Working hours per week- 3 hours- 6 hours in total.

This is a freelance role.

Fee:
