I am planning a UK screening tour for my independent music documentary. The tour will take place in June 2026 across a mix of: independent cinemas grassroots music venues mixed-use cultural spaces pubs/bars with established gig setups Some cities will host a screening + short live music set; others will be screening-only. The coordinator does not need to suggest cities-this will be handled separately. Your role is to contact venues, gather clear information, and determine feasibility. The coordinator must have: direct experience with independent film touring in the UK (essential) ability to read and evaluate standard cinema projection/sound specs basic understanding of grassroots music venue setups (PA, backline, curfews, noise limits) confidence communicating with venues and extracting precise tech/availability details strong organisational ability and clean spreadsheet tracking clarity in summarising what is actually feasible vs. theoretically possible Your work will help determine: which venues can screen the film which can host the optional live set hire fees, tech requirements, capacities any restrictions (curfew, noise limits, rigging, projector type, seating, PA/backline) overall feasibility for each venue This role is not suitable for candidates whose experience is primarily: gallery programming theatre admin festival volunteering general events management without cinema touring experience Fee: approx. £2700 total (equivalent to £45/hr, c. 60 hours across the contract). Preferred start date: early January 2026. Independent film touring experience in the UK is essential. Ability to interpret small-cinema projection/sound tech specs. Familiarity with grassroots music venue basics (PA, backline, curfew, noise limits). Excellent written communication and venue liaison skills. Strong organisational skills and clear documentation. Comfortable working remotely and independently. Ability to summarise feasibility clearly and realistically. Applicants without film touring experience will not be considered. Research and contact suitable venues across provided cities. Gather availability, hire fees, projection/sound specs, and backline/PA details. Confirm whether each venue can host screening-only or screening+live set. Maintain clear and organised outreach logs. Produce a feasibility overview for each venue. Communicate professionally with cinema managers and music venue bookers. Report findings concisely for decision-making.
