We are looking for imaginative and collaborative Director-Facilitators based in or near West Sussex to assist and lead a new weekly youth theatre programme in Crawley, as well as ad hoc sessions in schools and youth settings. ROLE 1: Youth Theatre Freelance Director-Facilitator When: Autumn 2026 to Spring 2027 weekly every Thursday Time: 15:30 - 18:00 Where: County Mall, Crawley Rates of Pay: £100 per session (2.5 hours) Responsible to: Artistic Director The new youth theatre programme will create a space for young people aged 14+ to meet, develop their creativity and make theatre together. The Director-Facilitator(s) will initially assist Theatre Centre's Artistic Director Eleanor in establishing the group before taking over and leading the sessions in Spring 2027. The fee includes delivery and planning. ROLE 2: Ad Hoc Freelance Facilitator(s) When: Ad-Hoc Sessions Where: TBC (Theatre Centre usually conduct on average 3 / 4 days of sessions a month) Rates of Pay: £130 Half Day / £200 Full Day Responsible to: Artistic Director Sessions in schools and youth setting happen year-round (average 3/4 days a month) and support the development of Theatre Centre's shows which tour to venues and secondary schools UK-wide. As a Theatre Centre Director-Facilitator you will: Live in or around West Sussex with ease of access to Crawley Have experience planning and leading theatre workshops / drama projects with young people of secondary school age. Agree to undertake safeguarding training and have a full enhanced DBS which Theatre Centre will process and pay for on your behalf if needed. The Director-Facilitator(s) will initially assist Theatre Centre's Artistic Director Eleanor in running and establishing the group before taking over and leading the sessions in Spring 2027.
