Help shape the digital voice of a forward-thinking hybrid performing arts organisation.

IJAD Dance is looking for a creative and collaborative Digital Marketing & Engagement Lead to grow our online presence, connect with audiences, and support innovative live, hybrid, and digital performance projects. This role suits someone who sees digital marketing as dialogue - not just promotion.

  • Contract: Freelance, 2 years (3-month review)

  • Hours: 8-16 hrs/week (flexible)

  • Fee: £140-£160/day (pro rata, DOE)

  • Start: April 2026 (after Easter, TBC)

  • Location: Remote, with occasional agreed in-person events

You'll lead digital marketing and engagement across IJAD and Open Online Theatre - combining strategy, content creation, and audience interaction.

Job Requirements

We're looking for

Essential

  • Digital marketing/communications experience in the arts or cultural sector

  • Strong social media and audience engagement skills

  • Confidence managing multiple platforms independently

  • Experience with digital advertising

  • Clear, thoughtful communication style

Bonus if you have

  • Interest in AI or emerging digital practices

  • Co-creation or participatory project experience

  • Basic design or video editing skills

Curiosity, openness, and critical thinking matter as much as prior experience.

Job Responsibilities

You'll:

  • Run social media and digital campaigns

  • Create clear, accessible content about innovative artistic work

  • Grow audiences through meaningful engagement

  • Manage Mailchimp newsletters and Google Ads (incl. Ad Grants)

  • Help communicate projects exploring hybrid performance, access, and AI

  • Track insights and test new digital ideas
