Job Summary

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Studio Voltaire's finances, supporting the Head of Finance and Operations to ensure that the financial, administrative and legal affairs of Studio Voltaire are effectively managed.

Job Description

Your responsibilities include transaction processing, bank reconciliations and in-house payroll, while ensuring compliance with VAT, Gift Aid and financial controls.

Additionally, the Finance Manager supports budgeting, forecasting and year-end audit preparation, while providing financial guidance to internal budget holders across the Programme, Communications and Development teams, as well as the General Manager.

Duration: 1 year, fixed-term

Hours: Part-time, 2 days per week (10 am-6 pm)

Salary: £33,000-36,000 per annum, pro-rata

Relevant financial experience, preferably in the charity sector

Excellent knowledge of accountancy software packages, preferably Xero

Manage all day-to-day finance and accounting processes, including payments and receipts, liaise with suppliers and manage the bank account

Manage all aspects of in-house payroll, pay and reconcile payroll, pension providers and PAYE/NIC

Support the Head of Finance and Operations to produce quarterly management accounts, 6-month forecasts and assist in the preparation of budgets

Work in partnership with the Programme Team, Communications, Development, General Manager and other budget-holders to ensure they are clear about the financial position and provide them with information to be able to effectively manage their budgets

Carry out other duties as deemed appropriate and necessary by the Head of Finance and Operations

Occasional key holder responsibilities to cover holiday absences
