The team was integral to the successful delivery of UK City of Culture 2025 and works alongside the Bradford Culture Company supporting the delivery of the district's City of Culture legacy. Degree in arts/event management or relevant NVQ Level 4, or demonstratable practical experience working in a wide range of outdoor events
Experience of organising and delivering all the infrastructure and logistical elements of a broad events programme
Experience in managing and motivating a team of staff
Experience of setting and managing budgets
Experience of working in partnership with a wide range of public and private sector bodies
Experience of working with a wide range of artists
Experience of marketing and PR campaigns
Experience of procurement of goods and services
Experience of project management
Experience in taking the lead role in problem solving in a work situation
Must be willing to hold a Personal LicenseJob Responsibilities
To be lead on the direct delivery of Council events and activities and to support colleagues in delivery of exceptional one-off events in the district.
To deal with enquiries and requests regarding commercial and event activity, to maintain an accurate clash diary and to provide expert and coordinated advice, support and guidance to the commercial and independent sector in their creation and delivery of events and festivals.
To be responsible for the smooth running of the department's events and activities including overall decision making and duty management for the commercial, festival and events programme and to play an active and engaged role in the work of the team, attending and reporting back on funded events, deputising at meetings when required.How to Apply
