We are recruiting an Education Project Manager to coordinate a 2-year funded project between 2026 - 2028. The successful candidate will coordinate and manage the delivery of arts-based learning and professional development for teachers across 6 primary schools in communities of Leeds. This is a two-year contract at 0.5 FTE (2.5 days per week), with possibility of extension. The annual salary for this role is £30,000 pro rata. This can be paid as PAYE or on a freelance basis. The role will mostly involve remote work - with some days in schools and event spaces required. Start date: the role will begin in late August, with a few potential days in June in person visiting schools and meeting with project participants. This will include communication across a team of 6 freelance artists, collaboration with the Brave Words core team, regular liaison with school partners and producing CPD events.Job Requirements
- Experience coordinating projects, ideally with schools and/or arts organisations.
- Experience organising events, ideally CPD/staff training-focused.
- Experience of creating systems for capture of qualitative-focused data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to equity across arts and education.
- Understanding of the issues faced by teachers and pupils in schools in disadvantaged areas today.
- Experience working directly in/with schools, knowledge of school curriculum.
- Experience working on and evaluating similar funded projects.
- Ability to design/create resources and/or promotional materials.Job Responsibilities
- Management and oversight of the project under Brave Words Youth and Education Director.
- Coordinating a team of freelance artists delivering weekly workshops in schools.
- Acting as a central point of contact to manage liaison and communication between all partner schools and freelance team.
- Co-producing CPD events for teaching staff and SLT from school partners alongside Brave Words team.
- Contributing to evaluation and reporting of the project as required.
- Creating a system for capturing data and evidence from freelancers and using it to create interim and final reports.
