Background Barts Heritage is the custodian of the non-clinical North Wing building at St Bartholomew's Hospital. After nearly two years of conservation, repair and restoration, Barts North Wing reopened on 06 October 2025. In the four months of opening we have welcomed over 17,000 visitors. Through the https://bartsnorthwing.org.uk/health-and-wellbeing/ - Sharing Historic Barts project, Barts Heritage is delivering a creative health activity programme for hospital staff, and patients and their visitors. This programme is delivered in the Great Hall of Barts North Wing. Brief Devise, develop, and deliver four workshops for Barts Health NHS Trust staff. Workshops are normally 60 - 90 minutes in duration. They can be programmed for the day or evening, although we do find that for daytime workshops a drop-in format works best, and the activity should only take 10-15 minutes. The intention is the workshops would be run as a 'short course' or 'introduction to drama and theatre'. We hope this format would encourage people to attend all workshops, and through more sustained engagement there would be a greater impact on their wellbeing. Attendees would not be precluded from taking part if they didn't attend all workshops. Ideally, the workshops would be delivered in April/May. However, we can be flexible on timings. The activity sheet can be developed and delivered at any point during the residency. Budget £1,192.50 for scoping, development and delivery of all activity outlined in the project deliverables section. There is a separate budget for materials. Project deliverables 3 x standalone workshops for hospital staff. Attendees can sign up to single workshops or the complete series. 1 x standalone workshop for a staff team day. 1 x activity sheet, which could be an iteration of one of the workshop activities. Please send a short proposal to Caroline Hamson, Heritage and Health Engagement Manager [email protected] by midnight Sunday 22 February.Job Summary
