Bridge Youth Theatre are looking for a Deputy Stage Manager to join the team for The Sound of Music in Cambridge, taking place in the Great Hall at The Leys School. The production features a company of 30 young performers, with performances running Thursday 16 - Saturday 18 April. Final rehearsals will take place on 11 and 12 April (no rehearsal on 13 April), followed by technical and dress rehearsals on Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 April, with the first performance on Thursday 16 April. Fees: £631 per week (any additional days worked will be pro-rota) Accommodation can be provided for anyone based more than 90 minutes from central Cambridge.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a willing and cheerful attitude, with the ability to read a vocal score and call a show. They should possess strong organisational skills, work well as part of a team, and demonstrate excellent timekeeping. A valid enhanced DBS check is essential.

Job Responsibilities

Your duties and responsibilities will be those normally expected of a Deputy Stage Manager (DSM). These will include, but are not limited to, working with the Production Stage Manager to oversee rehearsals and performances, recording rehearsal notes, and maintaining the prompt book. You will also be responsible for calling the run of the show at every performance. Your duties will also include assisting with sourcing light props and paper props prior to joining on 11 April.
