About The Team You'll Be Working In Working closely with colleagues, artists, cultural organisations, businesses, community groups and funding bodies, the team delivers a range of cultural programmes and partnerships including Summer of Culture, audience development initiatives and the implementation of the borough's Culture Strategy. As Culture Manager, you will report to the Head of Culture and Events and provide leadership to Culture Officers, project staff, apprentices and graduates, helping to shape the future direction of culture across the borough. You bring significant experience of leading cultural, heritage or creative programmes and understand the opportunities and challenges facing the sector. As a senior member of the team, you will help shape and deliver the Council's cultural ambitions, leading programmes, partnerships and initiatives that contribute to community wellbeing, place-making, social cohesion and economic growth. You will lead major cultural programmes, including Summer of Culture, manage strategic relationships with colleagues, cultural organisations, funders, businesses and community stakeholders, and oversee project delivery, governance, budgets and performance.
Alongside programme leadership, you will use evaluation, insight and impact assessment to demonstrate the value of cultural investment, inform decision-making and support future funding and sponsorship opportunities.
