The Creative Project Manager is responsible for providing creative management to the studio on a range of design initiatives, proactively supporting the project initiation and providing creative support on projects including concert touring, theatre, exhibition and architectural installations.
You will be responsible for providing task management to the studio on a range of design initiatives, proactively supporting the project initiation and progress, communicating the client brief to relevant departments and supporting the Senior Project Manager in assessing schedules, workflows and key internal support lines. Additionally, you will work as a research and general support to the Creative Producer as required.
The role requires an agile and motivated approach to initiating and maintaining team communication. While not a creative design role in itself, it offers a rewarding opportunity for someone with a proven background in creative ideation and delivery to make a significant contribution to the work of Ammonite's Design portfolio and wider work of the Studio.
In addition to assisting in the compilation and presentation of pitch assets (visuals, words, research materials) The PM is the main point of contact for the project, handling sole and connected budget streams and ensuring each project runs smoothly from conception through to realisation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Excellent numerical proficiency with proven skills in managing budgets
- Demonstrates high level of organisational and administrative skill gained in an artistic setting
- Confidence and authority when dealing with complex production terminology and processes.
- Experience of working with and managing freelance creative and production staff
- Knowledge of production related health and safety
- Excellent time management, scheduling and communication skills
- 12 months experience in a similar role in the theatre, live events, or exhibition industry
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment
- Experience in producing rigorous, detailed project documentation and presentation
- Experience in a client facing position - the ability to demonstrate industry knowledge, confidence in communication is essential.
- Experience working in a busy commercial arts environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Day to day management overseeing several large scale projects across theatre, events and installations
- Supporting & maintaining an active reporting conduit to the Creative Producer, Technical Manager and Senior Project Manager, especially in time-sensitive and pressured periods of activity
- Managing budgets, coordinating and chairing meetings and communicating with clients.
- Be the main point of contact for the project, handling sole and connected budget streams and ensuring each project runs smoothly from conception through to realisation.
- Maintaining order in the internal filing systems and filing documents - compilation and presentation of pitch assets (visuals, words, research materials)
- Contact and book freelance staff for relevant projects.
