Job Summary

The Creative Learning Co-ordinator is the glue to support all aspects of our busy education and engagement department: managing spaces, administration, finance, admissions and supporting projects which link young people, schools, colleges and communities with creative industries.

Terms & Conditions

Period of Work: This is a permanent full-time contract

Pay: £28,697.32 per annum (Officer 3)

Holidays: 25 days per year rising to 30 with service, plus bank holidays. The holiday year runs from 1 September to 31 August each year.

Job Requirements

We are seeking a proactive, organised, and flexible individual to join our team. The successful candidate will have proven experience in organising and administrating activities, strong IT and presentation skills (particularly with Microsoft Office), and a solid understanding of the theatre or wider arts sector. You'll be familiar with diversity and access practices, confident working with young people, and able to manage a complex workload with diplomacy and effectiveness.

This role requires a positive, self-motivated attitude, excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to work under pressure. A willingness to work evenings and weekends is essential, as is holding an Enhanced DBS.

Job Responsibilities

  • To administer and coordinate all Creative Learning's programmes and activity across community, education and youth theatre
  • To develop and maintain effective budgetary control and administration systems
  • Management of the accounting systems including ordering, invoicing, payroll, credit card, and reconciliation
  • General administration for the department and associated activities, including contracting, risk assessments, chaperones & licensing, monitoring & reporting, and event forms
  • Scheduling of projects, including room bookings & operational and scheduling meetings
  • Development and dissemination of partnership agreements
  • To act as the main point of contact for internal and external departmental enquiries
  • Communicate with and manage volunteers as necessary for activities
  • Coordinate and schedule all backstage tours, for both public and private bookings
  • To work closely with the Summer Festival team to manage the young people, staffing and space booking
