Job Summary

The Chief Executive of London Mozart Players will be responsible for steering the organisation towards its artistic and strategic goals while ensuring sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Job Description

This role involves being the public face of LMP, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, both internally and externally including the Chair and Board of Trustees, our Conductor in Residence, our musicians, funders, partners, and the wider cultural community. The Chief Executive will champion the orchestra's mission to inspire, engage, and educate through exceptional classical music performances, supported by a robust foundation of sound financial management, audience development, and organisational innovation. This position requires visionary and pragmatic leadership, a passion for music, a strategic mindset, and the ability to motivate and manage a small, hardworking team to achieve the orchestra's long-term goals.

Job Requirements

Skills and Experience

Proven senior executive or leadership experience within the arts or cultural sector, preferably with an orchestra or music organisation.

Demonstrated success in strategic planning, organisational leadership, and change management.

Strong track record in financial oversight and resource management.

Expertise in fundraising, including public and private sector grants, donor engagement, and partnership development.

Experience working closely with Boards and delivering on good governance.

Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across a diverse range of stakeholders.

Deep understanding of and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion across programming, audiences, and team culture.

Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments with diplomacy, creativity, and resilience.
