The Glitch is recruiting for a Bar Manager, to oversee the smooth operations of the venue!

Job Description

We're looking for a dynamic, friendly Bar Manager to lead The Glitch's hospitality offer. As a registered charity, our bar is a vital source of income for us, so we're looking for someone to really take the reins and deliver strong financial performance and excellent customer experience across the board.

Directly managed by our Artistic Director/General Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the overall smooth running of the venue's bar and events operations in the evenings. You'll work 3 evenings on the floor, and 2 daytimes each week (to deliver the more administrative elements of the role, including finance, bookings and rota management).

Wethink this role willbe a great fit for any hospitality professionals with experience managing or assistant-managing an events-led venue. Job Requirements

  • Bar Manager in an events-focused bar, pub, or nightlife venue
  • Assistant Manager in a managedhouse
  • Events Manager
  • Bar Manager in an independent venue

Essential Skills and Experience

Experience managing and motivating a team in hospitality
Track-record of supporting the deliveryof events in a hospitality environment

High standards of customer service and experience
Experience managing and negotiating supplier contracts
Strong acumen with P+L and financial management
Experience growing bar sales and delivering strong financial performance
Experience of managing Health and Safety, Fire, and Licensing compliance
Personal licence holder
Affinity with The Glitch's values of honesty, kindness, innovation, and fun
Interest in working in a creative/arts environment

Desirable Skills and Experience

Strong knowledge of cocktails and hot drinks First Aid qualification
Food Safety and Hy
