Audio Cataloguing and Support Officer, The British Library

About the role

This post will support the work of the British Library's Qatar Foundation Partnership Programme to preserve and catalogue part of the World and Traditional Music audio collection of relevance to the cultural history of the Persian Gulf region (specifically: early 20th century commercial releases on 78rpm shellac discs).

Working closely with the Gulf History Audio Curator & Cataloguer the post will:

• Assist the Gulf History Audio Curatorial team in identifying, cataloguing, and creating Submission Information Packages for digitised audio materials.
• Supporting the work of the Copyright and Compliance and the Translation teams as it pertains to the Qatar Project's audio content stream.

This is a fixed term post until 31 December 2026.
