Role: Creative Assistant Producer The role will involve organising workshops, maintaining schedules and project information, following up actions and ensuring that everyone involved has the practical information they need. The Assistant Producer will also support access, safeguarding, documentation and evaluation processes, as well as preparations for the final festival. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, approachable and confident working with a wide range of people. The successful applicant will need to work independently, respond positively to changing circumstances and keep SDNA regularly informed of progress, outstanding actions and potential issues. SDNA will retain responsibility for artistic direction, contracts, budgets and major stakeholder management. The Assistant Producer will focus on practical organisation, communication and supporting the smooth delivery of key aspects of the project. Essential Experience supporting arts, cultural, community or public events. Desirable Experience of participatory or socially engaged arts. Strong organisational and communication skills.
Confidence working with artists, community groups and partner organisations.
Ability to manage schedules, records and multiple priorities.
A practical, collaborative and reliable approach.
Availability to work in Swaffham during workshops and the festival period.
Experience working with children, young people, older people, SEND or wellbeing groups.
Knowledge of Swaffham, Breckland or Norfolk.
Experience of light festivals, projection projects or outdoor events.
A driving licence and access to transport.Job Responsibilities
Liaise with artists, schools, care homes, community groups and project partners.
Support selected workshops.
Coordinate access requirements, consent forms and safeguarding information.
Collect workshop outputs, participation figures, feedback and documentation.
Support site visits, technical tests and festival preparations.
Assist during the installation, festival and deinstallation period.
