This is a freelance position.

Person Specification:

Minimum qualification of BA in Fine Art (no current students please)
Right to live and work in the UK
Artist with their own studio practice
Experience in working with artists as a studio assistant / technical assistant
Experience in making sculptures and painting with a great understanding of different materials
Able to be practical and think creatively to find solutions
Able to work as part of a team
Able to communicate efficiently and work under time pressure
Reliable and punctual
Able to work to exception al standards
Good knowledge of contemporary art and the art world

Responsibilities:

Produce artworks under the Artist's instructions and in collaboration with the other Studio Assistants
Liaise and support the Studio Manager in the documentation, installation, packing and shipping of works
Communicate efficiently with the rest of the team
Occasional personal assistant duties
Keeping the studios in good and clean condition
Able to travel abroad if necessary
