Job Description

&Friends Productions CIC are looking for a circus performer who identifies as trans, non-binary or gender-queer to be part of an upcoming queer circus show rehearsing in May / June. The project is co-directed by Laura Murphy and Matty May

We're keen to hear from performers working across a wide range of circus disciplines, including (but not limited to): aerial, acrobatics, physical theatre, contortion, and experimental or hybrid practices. Please note that the role will require some speaking on stage, so please only apply if this is something that you have some experience with and are comfortable doing. Additionally, the role will involve working with personal autobiography in collaboration with the project directors

This project is a collaboration between two queer led companies/artists and centres care and collaboration in the making process.

Performers will be invited to bring their own skills, identities, and artistic voices into the work. The rehearsal process will prioritise respectful ways of working together.

Rehearsals: May / June (specific dates/times TBC) - working days will be 7hr days however we will amend for access needs

Rates of pay : £1000 weekly fee (£200 day rate)

Deadline 5pm 27th Feb 2026
