We are looking for an exceptional Careers Officer to provide administrative assistance to the department across a range of areas and work closely with the Careers Manager to contribute towards Graduate Outcomes, employer engagement and industry engagement strategies.

Job Description

The Careers Officer - Film, Games, Business & Marketing (North) is responsible for supporting AD Education UK students and recent graduates, primarily from the School of Film & Games and the School of Business & Marketing to transition successfully into professional work, higher study, or self-employment. This will include proactively sourcing and promoting opportunities within the film, television, animation, VFX, games, esports, business, marketing, communications, and related creative/enterprise sectors. The role leverages relationships with the wider AD Education UK alumni community as well as local, regional, and national employers in these industries, as directed by the Careers Manager and in liaison with the Artist and Creative Development Manager where appropriate. They will provide administrative assistance across departmental activities and work closely with the Careers Manager to contribute towards Graduate Outcomes, employer engagement, and industry engagement strategies, ensuring that AD Education UK students and recent graduates are supported to progress into professional, sustainable employment aligned with Graduate Outcomes targets.

Job Requirements

Proven interest in and knowledge of contemporary creative industries with a strong understanding of film, games, business, and marketing sectors is essential. Interest in (and experience of) higher education sector (especially contemporary creative education) is desirable. Understanding of AD Education UK's student and alumni community, including the particular interests of Film, Games, Business & Marketing cohorts, is desirable. Experience of using social media for promotional purposes (ideally using scheduling programmes) is preferred. Previous experience of higher education (especially focused on creative industries) is desirable. Degree graduate preferred
