We're looking for two access testers to take part in a paid in-person testing session of Rider Spoke: Here, an immersive mobile app experience with AI-enabled features by award-winning artist group Blast Theory.  We're seeking: 1 Caption User (someone who regularly uses captions or subtitles for audio/video access) 1 Screen Reader User (someone who uses a screen reader regularly for access) About the Role You'll take part in a 3-hour, in-person testing session at Blast Theory's studio in Portslade on Monday 15th December. You'll try out a prototype version of the Rider Spoke: Here app and share feedback on your user experience and access needs. We will use your feedback to inform the development of the app and improve its accessibility. Fee £100 flat fee for a 3-hour session Travel expenses covered About Rider Spoke First created in 2007, Rider Spoke is an immersive mobile experience that invites participants to cycle through their city, guided by an app that encourages reflection, discovery, and connection through voice recordings. Now, Blast Theory are exploring how AI might enhance and extend Rider Spoke's reach with the new Rider Spoke: Here app. Please note that the redeveloped app does not require cycling or use of a bike.  About Blast Theory Blast Theory make interactive art that explores social and political questions. The group's work has been presented at the Venice Biennale, Tribeca Film Festival, Tate Britain, and beyond. Blast Theory have been nominated for four BAFTAs and won the Golden Nica at Prix Ars Electronica and the Nam June Paik Art Center Award. The main entrance is at the top level, with two flights of stairs leading down to the studio. The stairs have a continuous handrail on one side. If you need step-free access, you can reach the Blast Theory studio via the Travis Perkins entrance (Travis Perkins, Wellington Road, Portslade, Brighton BN41 1DU). This route has large double doors with a small step up at the threshold, and we have a ramp available if needed. We have an accessible toilet, and assistance dogs are very welcome.
