Youth Mentors are new roles that provide pastoral, mentoring and participant support to deliver an exciting programme working across Tottenham until 2022. These roles (there are 2 available) is all about bringing youth engagement and care, energy, and safeguarding know-how to an exciting project set to support the minimum of 25 - 30 young Tottenham residents with known support needs.
You will work across LIFT Tottenham to support the advocacy of the UpLIFTers who attend, alongside the assistant producer and senior producer, lead artists and international artists co-designing the programme with them.
If you are experienced in supporting youth led practice and young people’s personal development and participation programmes, we would love to hear from you This is the ideal position for an organised, people-person with experience of youth work practices in nurturing and artistic environments.
We are looking for someone to work in a collaborative workplace learning from, with, and among smart, interesting and fun professionals. Someone with a genuine passion for supporting young people and a desire to have direct contact with young people. You should be emotionally stable, compassionate and patient when working with vulnerable young women. You must be trustworthy and relate to and work well with young people in challenging circumstances.
Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills are important.
