The Edinburgh International Festival is looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated Workshop and Construction Manager to join the team. We want you to help us deliver this unparalleled celebration of the performing arts, which brings the most exciting and creative artists working today, to audiences from around the world.
The Workshop and Construction Manager is a new role to assist with the delivery of the Edinburgh International Festival. The person for the role and should demonstrate excellent knowledge of workshop construction with experience in theatre, events or live performance. They will have to be able to manage, delegate and supervise a small team of carpenters, whose workload will vary depending on the demand of that year’s festival programme. The person for this role has to be a good communicator, be able to work under pressure, be able to organise the advance preparation and adapt to the ever-changing demands produced by the dynamic nature of an international festival. They will support the Head of Staging in ensuring the up most attention to detail is achieved, being able to offer solutions with reference to up to date practices and ensuring Edinburgh International Festival deliver at the highest level.
