‘Do Not Disturb’ – a musical about being in a coma, has been devised by a cast of 20 disabled artists under the guidance of a professional playwright & songwriter. Inspired by the true story of cast member Terri, Do Not Disturb explores the fascinating experiences, conversations, thoughts & emotions Terri recalls in and around the time that she was in a coma. Thought-provoking, funny and true, the story is told through live drama, film, music, puppetry & dance

Duties

-Attend rehearsals/meetings during January/February and liaise with the Artistic Director, Dance Director & Project Coordinator

-Compile a Show Book & establish technical requirements

-Visit venues & liaise with venue technical staff to determine what in-house equipment and staffing can be used. Liaise with the Project Coordinator regarding additional equipment/staffing to be hired in

-Create and circulate a Get-in & Rehearsal Schedule with the help of the Project Coordinator

-Oversee arrangements for the transportation of set, costumes, props & equipment between the rehearsal venue & performance venues

-Oversee the Get-in & Technical Rehearsals, working with venue staff, artists & performers to ensure that rehearsals are completed safely and to schedule

-During the event, fulfil a technical operating role as required ie. calling the show/operating QLab

-Oversee the Get-out

5th 6th May 2020 – The Old Market Theatre, Brighton BN31AS
