The Security department of the British Museum is currently recruiting for a Supervisor to supervise operational shifts by ensuring that staff carry out duties successfully and that the shifts are effectively managed. This will involve implementing the Security Strategy to safeguard the security and protection of the Museum’s premises, staff, visitors and the collections.
The post-holder will communicate all significant operational and security information to staff on shift, ensuring up to date communication in the department and wider Museum. You will also continuously monitor information to detect/assess risks or other issues and provide an immediate response to resolve the issue.
The ideal candidate will have proven supervisory experience in a security operations environment, including working on investigations and performing risk assessment for security issues. A qualification in management and experience in the cultural sector would be advantageous.
