Bedford Creative Arts is looking for a creative individual, highly experienced in socially-engaged artistic practice to lead on the design of our ambitious commissions programme.
Bedford Creative Arts is an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation working in Bedfordshire for 33 years. We enable meaningful interventions that respond to the needs of communities.
We put people and participation at the heart of our work, seeking to empower communities to provoke change by giving them a voice that champions social justice. Through our work, we seek to ask questions and facilitate conversations that challenge the status quo, support meaningful debate and enable radical ideas to be explored.
The Programme Producer will be responsible for engaging with partners and communities to identify their needs and commission creative projects that respond to them. They will have experience in strategic curating and programming, ideally across a range of art-forms. In addition to curation of programmes, they will have excellent skills in fundraising, project management, collaboration, community engagement, talent development and arts industry knowledge, all founded on a deep-rooted passion for socially-engaged practice.
