Performer Musician, Manic Chord Theatre

Manic Chord Theatre in association with Leeds International Piano Competition and Leeds Music HUB are seeking a female performer/musician to work on an exciting new participatory show for KS1 entitled 'Skylar's Missing Note.' The show follows a young girls journey as she searches for her pianos missing middle 'C' lost in transit during a house move.

The work will be developed in Leeds over two workshop rehearsal periods:

25th - 29th March - Initial R&D

19th - 23rd and 27th - 31st August - Making

And will be toured into Yorkshire Primary Schools throughout Autumn 2019 (Dates TBC.)

Experience:

  • Experience working with music and competency playing the piano.
  • Experience working as part of a team and individually.
  • Experience devising and playing within a workshop setting.
  • Experience working with this age group is preferred but not essential.

A valid DBS certificate is also required for this position.

This role will be paid to equity rates and travel expenses covered.
