The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain is a world-leading youth arts organisation. Established in 1956 as the world’s first youth theatre, we have nurtured the talent of hundreds of thousands of young people creating an enviable legacy over our 62 years.
In 2019 we will present an exclusive first look at a new play written by award-winning playwright and screenwriter Rachel De-lahay. We are looking for Designer, Sound Designers, Lighting Designers who are Midlands based or have a Midlands base with a variety of experience, with a minimum of 2 professional theatre credits. Applicants with both years of experience and those newer to the industry are encouraged to apply.
Rachel De-lahay is a former NYT member and a BAFTA-nominated writer. Her recent credits include Channel 4’s Kiri, CIRCLES which transferred to the Tricycle Theatre in London after a sell out run at Birmingham Rep, ROUTES and The WESTBRIDGE at London’s Royal Court Theatre and the BAFTA award-winning THE LAST HOURS OF LAURA K. This National Youth Theatre Workshop Production will star some of Britain’s best young acting talent and will feature adult themes.
