Kensington + Chelsea Art Week (KCAW) is a ten-day arts and culture festival taking place annually in West London.

KCAW celebrates the rich heritage of the borough by opening doors to local creative spaces along with leading organisations to facilitate further public engagement in the local culture.

We are looking for an experienced freelance PR and Marketing Executive to join our team in the lead up to and during KCAW20, taking place from 1–11 October.

The PR Executive will work with the team to build a strong communications network around the festival that will ensure good relationship with the public and awareness of KCAW and its programme.


+ Plan, implement and manage creative PR strategies 

+ Organise and coordinate PR activities 

+ Use different channels to optimise campaign's reach and success 

+ Build and maintain relationships with print and online media, arts writers, and influencers

+ Secure press coverage 

+ Build relationships with community contacts and organisations to support audience engagement

+ Arrange for interviews or public speaking events

+ Draft press releases in collaboration with KCAW team

+ Write and edit content for print/digital collateral in collaboration with KCAW team

+ Devise digital communication strategy and advise KCAW team on content for e-newsletters and social media

+ Assess opportunities for sponsorships and other partnerships and manage relations

+ Measure performance of each activity and campaign, and prepare reports


+ Proven experience as PR executive or similar role for an arts/culture organisation

+ Proven experience in coordinating and managing effective PR campaigns through various channels

+ Solid knowledge of social media

+ Excellent communication and presentation skills

+ Ability to build strong relationships with key people or organisations

+ A creative mind partnered with the ability to find the best practical solutions

+ Excellent writing and editing skills

+ Ability to manage several projects simultaneously with accurate and timely results
