HENI is an international arts services business working with leading artists and estates across publishing, printmaking, digital, film and art research. We focus on the individual artist and their work, offering art services including printing and reproduction, digital management, events, mounting, logistics and fine art photography. In 2018 we launched HENI Talks, the first website of its kind dedicated to bringing conversation about visual culture to a digitally cultivated audience.

We are looking for a Junior Editor to join the HENI team. The successful candidate must have an excellent understanding of YouTube and Instagram culture and editing styles, creatively ensuring viewer retention is high, and delivering content to ‘glossy’ high production values.

The team mainly shoot on Red Scarlet Weapon and Black Magic cameras, using a raw/proxy workflow. There is the opportunity for training with this role to develop a range of skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES

  • Work with production and social media teams to create high quality video content across multiple platforms
  • Adapt existing video assets (social media clips)
  • Support in the interpretation and refining of edits
    • Data wrangling, general processing and transcoding
    • Maintain an organised file structure

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL

  • Knowledge and experience of using Mac OS
  • Proficient in editing and basic colour correction with DaVinci Resolve
  • Good knowledge of the Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects) to open legacy projects
  • Understanding of codecs, resolution, proxy workflow and multi-cam editing
  • Experience on projects involving the creation of video content for digital platforms and social media
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness and stamina to work and adapt to tight deadlines
  • Creativity, logic and meticulous attention to detail
  • Interest in art and knowledge of art history
  • An interest in technology and emerging platforms / developments
  • Ability to multitask for multi-delivery projects

DESIRABLE

  • An interest or knowledge in camera assisting
