Description

Job Summary

First Story is seeking a filmmaker to produce a new short promotional film that supports sales of our programmes to schools. Total fee £5,500 (inc. VAT).

Job Description

A filmmaker to produce a 3-minute (max) film in landscape format that can be used as a marketing tool year-round: prominently displayed on the website's homepage, used periodically at events, and sent to schools as part of First Story's sales activities.

The filmmaker would also produce 2 or 3 x 60-second edits in portrait format to share on social media channels.

The film should showcase the range of First Story's work with students both in regular classroom workshops in school and at related events outside school to demonstrate the wider offer and the value that the programme represents.

We anticipate around 10 days work to include filming and editing to be agreed with the successful applicant within the agreed budget. Our working hours are 9.30-17.30 Monday-Friday.

See Filmmaker brief on the First Story website for full details.

Job Requirements

  • Filmmakers must be able to provide and use their own equipment for filming and editing.
  • Independent practitioners must have their own Public Liability Insurance and be registered as self-employed.
  • Filmmakers should be based in either Greater London or Greater Manchester to be able to easily access our events and schools in those regions.
