The Museum is one of Europe’s best and most successful open-air museums.  We welcomed over 350,000 visitors in 2018, have a turnover of £8m, many national awards to our name, a rising reputation and impact, Designated collection and are financially self-reliant.  We are close to our visitors, and our 500 staff and volunteers are focussed on providing highly valued experiences.

Our strategic view is that success originates from being an independent heritage business, rather than a service, and giving equal weight to our purpose as museum + charity + visitor attraction.

As if that wasn’t enough, to enable us to keep doing the things we do best, we are looking forward to embarking upon the single largest development in our 40-year history, with a £25m investment, taking our story into the 1940s, 50s and 60s.

As part of a major restructuring, we are now looking to recruit the following new role to join the Museum Team, which will report to the Managing Director.

Salary: c£48,000
