Fun Loving Musician Who is Great With Kids for Weekly Sessions, MiniJam

  •  London
  •  Paid (£15k-20k pro rata)
  •  Part time
  •  Closes August 1, 2019

We are a startup company with a mission to bring music, energy and a fun twist on education for babies and toddlers in South & West London. We are seeking individuals with a lust for life who love working with young children and can socialise well with parents as well.

MiniJam are expanding and there is scope to take on several additional classes once the session leader is established in the company.
We are looking to add a new musician to team ready to take on classes from September 2019.

Option for a morning/afternoon - £50 + £5 travel for 2x 35 mins classes in south/west london
Or option for a whole day (10:30am, 11:15am, 3:15pm, 4pm) - £100 + £10 travel for 4x 35 mins classes in south/west London.

The role is not suitable for pianists or singers. MiniJam class leaders perform and interact with the babies and toddlers using their instrument(s).

Classes are structured for the term and involve woodwind, percussion play for our little minijammers alongside our jazzed up nursery rhymes. Custom tracks will be provided as well as video instructions each week. All our music is produced to a high level featuring some of London's top session musicians, including vocalists featured on The Voice and X Factor. Our instruments vary each week according to a rotating timetable.

The ideal candidate would have a car - the equipment comes in a suitcase which needs to be transported between venues and the storage unit in Wandsworth. We do have musicians working for us who use public transport though.

Our usp, which sets us aside from other early years musical education companies, is that we also perform live each week. The ideal candidate would be a multi-instrumentalist so that children are exposed to as many different instruments as possible over the term. It takes energy and a good sense of humour to work with our mini musicians.

Employees would be required to invoice Minijam ltd under self employed status.
