Project eARTh (Environmental Art and Health) is a project for adults experiencing mental distress or other long term conditions or physical impairments.
We run projects in which the participants work collectively to create artworks – usually for the community – installed in public spaces, indoors or out.
Each project is led by an experienced professional community artist, supported by mental health staff and volunteers.
We have 2 groups, one in New Mills and one in Buxton – currently we are looking for projects for the Buxton group –URC church, Buxton, Mondays 12.30 – 3pm , from June 2019 to end of May 2020. Please only apply if these are feasible for you. The Buxton group also include adults with mild learning disabilities.
What we need from you:
1. No longer than 2 sides of A4 to include a description of the project, and a budget.
The briefs will be read by steering group of partners and participants, from which we choose projects –interviewing artists who are new to us.
