Are you an experienced manager with strategic partnership development and excellent communication skills in the Cultural sector?
We need an expert to lead and direct Exeter Culture’s work by developing, managing and evaluating strategic and sector-specific programmes, initiatives, partnerships and research that contribute to Exeter’s cultural development. This work is in partnership with Exeter City Council and is co-funded by stakeholders the University, Exeter City Council, Exeter Business Improvement District and Exeter College. It is funded in part by Arts Council England.
You will work with stakeholders and the cultural sector in the city to make sure that Exeter Culture promotes the city’s culture offer, grows the cluster of creative businesses and strengthens the position of the cultural sector, as well as supporting the sector to build the quality of cultural opportunities for residents and visitors.
Over the period of the contract the post will support and deliver:
The first distinctive place-based Arts & Culture Strategy for the city.
National and international cultural collaborations, focusing on audiences and talent development.
An event exploring ideas and best practice in culture-led cities from an international perspective.
Support increased investment that will integrate culture with the delivery of the city’s economic, health and wellbeing, environmental and talent development ambitions.
The post is hosted in the Innovation, Impact and Business (IIB) Directorate in the University of Exeter.
