Creative Producer (freelance/part time), Skimstone Arts

Reports to: Artistic Director

Salary/fee: 1 day a week / 7 hours a week for 40 x weeks @£200 a day. (With the aim to extend this subject to funding) starting in March 2020.

Skimstone Arts Mission: Skimstone Arts is an arts organisation based in the North East that supports diverse artists and communities and those at risk of isolation, to create work with, for and about the world that matters to them. 

We are looking for a very special individual, highly motivated, who has strong connections to diverse arts and communities across the North, to come and support us with fundraising for our programmes and to help us learn new and creative ways of producing work that people want to make and to see. 

Post is initially for one day a week but with a view to extending this further subject to successful funding.

Purpose of the Creative Producer role

Focus is on two main areas;

1. Providing support with funding applications e.g. Arts Council England NPLG 

2. Bringing creative energy, ideas and practical expertise to support Skimstone Arts’ professional productions including the Reaching Out Festival programme and its budget.

This will include building and maintaining partnerships across the cultural, community, health and wellbeing sectors.
