On behalf of the Arts Council England funded Wessex Museums Partnership, Poole Museum Service is looking for an individual who is passionate about working with the community to develop and lead community engagement across the new Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) local authority area.
The post holder will map community groups in each locality, develop strong community partnerships and create a vibrant community engagement programme in support the Wessex Museums Partnership’s ambition to inspire more people to explore and enjoy the outstanding art and heritage of the region and to understand its significance to their lives. By sharing the amazing story of the region in new and exciting ways, we aim to make a major contribution to the cultural, social and tourism economies of Dorset and Wiltshire.
The post holder will be based at Poole Museum, the most visited museum in Dorset, and a considerable amount of the role’s activity will take place in communities associated with the Museum.
