HOP Projects CT20 is looking for a highly self-motivated individual to join our small and dynamic team in Folkestone. The successful candidate would be an integral part of the team, assisting the directors and curator in delivering Prescient Pool between April and September, with the potential to stay on with the team and to play a leading role in managing future projects. We offer training on all aspects of work that keep a multi-faceted arts organisation running smoothly, as well as the day-to-day planning and organising of a series of events and artist development opportunities.
We are an equal opportunity organisation who values individual capabilities and nurture talents. The role would suit someone who is highly organised and proactive in their approach to a varied workload, and can demonstrate excellent attention to detail. This part time position would be ideal for those with previous work experience and looking for opportunities working in the arts; or those who are interested in gaining interesting experience in a new field. It is essential however, that the individual is well-organised, and capable of managing a busy time schedule if working on other projects alongside this role.
Prescient Pool is a collaborative public-engaging project with 6 events & 3 new commissions based on the research & archive of local stories published under Transitions by Pavement Pounders. The wealth of vernacular, symbolic stories contributed to by diverse groups of people in Folkestone will be presented to a new broader audience, making this tradition available to new generations with fresh, accessible & dynamic art-based events that are inclusive & relevant.
Flexible working hours, between 1-2 days / week (minimum one day but could increase to 2 days during event week); Workload may increase when there is an event.
Please send us a CV and any relevant examples of work. We look forward to hearing from you.
